The Devonshire Arms is an exceptionally dog friendly hotel.
This is just as well, given that the Yorkshire Dales is arguably the finest dog walking country in the UK. The Dales surround the hotel and if your dogs enjoy splashing about in a river, the walk along the River Wharfe from the hotel to Bolton Abbey and beyond is stunning.
From browsing our list of services you can now see why The Devonshire Arms is so highly regarded as a dog friendly hotel and you can also see why dogs love being here so much.
These are the many reasons why The Devonshire Arms is so dog friendly:
Dogs are welcome to stay in your bedroom for an additional charge of just £10 per dog.
Dear Mr van Oosten,
Thank you so much for your letter!
Tim and Judy, my owners, have asked me to pass on their comments:
"Having had our first visit to the Devonshire Arms in November, loving every moment, I was more than thrilled when I received my birthday card from my husband containing a gift voucher for a return stay in March.
The staff have a wonderful balance of professional friendliness. We were welcomed back, being met in the car park, swiftly checked in on a busy afternoon, luggage in our room by the time we were escorted upstairs.
More importantly, Todd, (thats me!) springer spaniel, had a biscuit, water bowl and bed awaiting him in our room! Having stayed in several "Dog Friendly" hotels this hotel lives up to its promise, dogs are welcomed and allowed to come in through the front door! The hotel is pristine, polished antiques, beautiful furnishings, comfortable settees and open fires in the various lounges.
Walks to Bolton Abbey via the picturesque parklands and along the river are a delight. Further afield the scenery is breathtaking and villages nestling along the lanes in the dale, unspoilt.
Breakfasts in the sunny conservatory and meals in the Brasserie were delicious. Plenty of choice,....yummy!"
All they have to do now is plan their next visit, with me!!
Kind regards,
I just want to say that being a dog I and Graham Morley my best friend are often left in the car whilst our owners are using the public rooms of so called "dog friendly" hotels.
I have just had the most fabulous time staying at the Devonshire Arms, I have enjoyed long walks, ran free through your corridors, chased balls in the hall and had a sleep in front of a log fire. My friend Graham had great fun too and indeed felt so much at home he tried to climb on the sofa. When it came to leaving I did not want to go, indeed I jumped out of the car and made a break for it towards reception. My owner had the most relaxing holiday because she did not have to worry about me, I am thinking of bringing my owner back soon with family and friends in about a month, as we had such a great time.
