The Devonshire Arms Hotel and Spa, located at the Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales at Bolton Abbey, is one of England’s favourite country house hotels. Before becoming a hotel, the building was once used as a 17th century inn. Traditions of a warm welcome and fine hospitality continue to this day, and we pride ourselves on impeccable service and attention to detail.

Luxurious privacy, exceptional food, attentive staff and the beauty of The Yorkshire Dales makes us the idyllic wedding venue. With four beautifully appointed function rooms to choose from, we can accommodate wedding parties from 2 to 100 guests in the daytime, and an evening reception of up to 125. For larger wedding parties, we can arrange a marquee in the grounds.

Combining classical country house style with fresh, exciting and modern British menus is a skill our head chef, Paul Leonard, has perfected. Exquisite tasting menus are The Burlington’s speciality, with each dish being sourced from the local area, and ingredients from the hotel’s own kitchen garden. Our vibrant Brasserie & Bar is the perfect place to catch up for lunch or to mingle with friends for dinner, whilst enjoying a much deserved glass of wine after a hectic day. Sundays wouldn’t be complete without a traditional Sunday roast with family and friends, so why not treat yourself in one of the best Yorkshire places to dine.
